Structural Non-Standard Channels
Structural Channel also known as a C-Channel, is a type of structural beam used primarily in building construction and civil engineering. Its cross section consists of a wide "web", usually but not always oriented vertically, and two "flanges" at the top and bottom of the web, only sticking out on one side of the web. It is distinguished from I-beam, H-beam or W-beam type aluminum cross sections in that those have flanges on both sides of the web. Aluminum 6061 channel is commonly used in stuctual applications that require material that is lightweight, strong, and resistant to corrosion. Aluminum 6061 has above average corrosion resistance, good machinability, and excellent weldability.
